Mr. Ralph Dennis Morgan of Williamstown, KY. passed away Monday, March 21 at his residence at the age of 95. Mr. Morgan was born December 11, 1926 in Harlan County, KY. in a coal camp called Chevrolet to the late Joseph and Mona Asher Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a truck driver for Roadway Express for over 31 years and as a very young man hauled coal in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. Mr. Morgan proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Grassy Run Baptist Church, the Scottish Rite of Cincinnati, OH., the Sharonville-Calvary Lodge #204 Free and Accepted Masons, and the American Legion in Louisville, KY. In his free time Mr. Morgan enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, fishing and working on his farm. In addition to his parents Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by a son: Charles Wayne Morgan, by a brother: Robert Morgan and by a sister: Marie Hutcherson. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Imogene Clemons Morgan. He has 1 son: James E. Morgan of West Chester, OH., 3 daughters: Kathy Lynn Lawson of Fayetteville, N.C., Linda Rae Morgan of Lexington, KY., Kimberly Sue McNees and her husband Tim of Berry, KY., 3 sisters: Mildred Paul of Florida, Shirley Shelton of Paducah, KY., Donna Davis of Corbin, KY. He has 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other family members. Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Dennis Morgan will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 28 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Road, Corinth, KY. 41010. Visitation will be Sunday, March 27 also at the funeral home from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Corinth IOOF Cemetery, Corinth, KY. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Grassy Run Baptist Church, The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Shriners.
