Randell Jewell, 77, of Falmouth, KY, entered his heavenly home on Thursday January 30, 2025 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Born on August 28, 1947, in Oneida, KY, he was the son of the late J B and Georgia Sandlin Jewell. On June 17, 1972 in Cincinnati, OH he was united in marriage to the former Margie Marie Dearth; she survives. After many years of working with OPW Fuel Pumps, he retired. He found contentment in the simple things in life; he often referred to himself as a ‘Simple Country Boy”; going fishing and spending time with his animals, such as his 44 lbs. house cat, along with his dogs and chicken (Henrietta)which brought him much contentment. He proudly served and defended our country during the Vietnam War, Serving in the US Army. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Church Treasurer. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Margie Jewell; two sons: Randall Dale Jewell of Craigsville, VA, Michael Paul (Tammy) Jewell of Florence, KY and one brother, Bruce Dale (Thelma Jean) Jewell of Burlington, KY. He was lovingly called “Papaw” by his three grandchildren: Molly Ann Shelton, Michael Austin Jewell and Jennifer Jewell. Visitation will be Friday February 7, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Eckler - McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Amos Niehaus officiating.
