Mr. Raymond "Ray" Raleigh, a Williamstown resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Grant Co. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the age of 67. He was the husband of Suzanne Elizabeth Porter Raleigh.
Mr. Raleigh was a retired automotive mechanic for Don Gene Adams Garage. He dearly loved to turn a wrench and work with wood and crafts. Family members describe him as a social butterfly because he absolutely loved to talk to his friends and make new friends. Knoxville road residents often considered him to be the "Mayor of Knoxville". He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and cherished all time spent with them.
In addition to his wife Suzanne, Ray is survived by two sons, Jonathan Mills of Williamstown, KY, Raymond Raleigh, Jr. (Jenna) of Palm Coast, FL, three daughters, Shawn Mills Nordheim (Bryan) of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Stacey Mills (Alan Shaw) of Williamstown, KY, Samantha Raleigh Schadler (Rodney) of Dry Ridge, KY, two brothers, Eugene "Duke" Raleigh (Debbie) of Williamstown, KY, Hargis Raleigh, Jr. (Billie Jean) of Altro, KY, three sisters, Bonnie Jurk (Don) of Burton, MI, Arlena Strait (Jim) of Jackson, MI, Mary Ellen Raleigh of Flint, MI, two dogs he loved dearly, Harley and Jr., and twelve grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5-8pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Broadridge cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
