Raymond Robinson

Raymond Robinson, age 97 and longtime Grant County resident, died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. following a short illness. He was born Oct. 14, 1924 in the Lawrenceville community of Grant Co. and was one of six sons born to the late Alva and Maude Reed Robinson, all of whom preceded him in death. On Sept. 3, 1946 Raymond was united in matrimony with Marie Fuehner who died June 20, 2006 following 59 years of marriage. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II serving 22 months in Europe. He was employed as a welder at Interlake Steel in Newport for 30 years and enjoyed farming throughout his adult life. He is survived by one daughter, Linda (Lawrence H.) Klingenberg of Dry Ridge, KY., one son, John R. (Sheree) Robinson of Morehead, KY., 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Private services for the family will be held at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with burial to follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
