Rebecca A. Hornsby

April 24, 1942 — July 3, 2020

Mrs. Rebecca A. Hornsby of Pendleton County, KY. passed away Friday, July 3 at her residence at the age of 78.  Mrs. Hornsby was born April 24, 1942 in Danville, KY. to the late Stanley and Edith Middleton Hogue.  Mrs. Hornsby was a retired cosmetologist and worked for many years in that capacity for Walgreen's.  In her spare time Mrs. Hornsby enjoyed reading, crafts, painting and she dearly loved going to the beach and collecting conch shells when she and her husband lived in Florida.  Initially their time was split between the Cincinnati area and Florida until they made Florida their full time home.  She is most fondly remembered by her family for her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren and her great many friends.  On April 2, 1960 she was united in marriage to Roger Hornsby.

Mrs. Hornsby is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roger Hornsby.  She has 3 daughters: JoEllen Lynch and her husband Rick of Amelia, OH., Robin Fate and her husband Eddie of Newport Richey, FL., Jennie Pendleton and her husband James of Williamstown, KY., 2 sisters: Virginia Barton of Dunedin, FL., Margaret MacDonald of Batavia, OH., 3 grandchildren: Emily Wallace, Amanda Watson, Allison Watson, 2 great grandchildren: Nathanial Wallace and Benjamin Wallace.

There will be no visitation and services will be at the convenience of the family.  If memorial contributions are desired they may be directed to the Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY. 41056, or the Parkinson's Foundation, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY., 10305.  The Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Rebecca A. Hornsby.
