Richard Phillip Mader, born on December 6, 1947, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Pace, Florida. He was the beloved son of George David Mader, Jr. and Dorothy M. Carlisle Mader.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Hiner Mader on December 31, 2016. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Austin Mader of Pensacola, Florida, and his daughters, Alexia Mader (Jeremy King) of Pensacola and Alisha Feazel (Brandon Blanchard) of Pace, Florida, siblings, Charles Mader, Bobby Dooley, Diane Dooley, Linda Mader, and Dorothy Mader, who will carry on his memory with love and admiration. He was a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren: Makenzie Feazel, Hunter Feazel, Val Johnson, Chauncey King, Jayden King, Kaena King, Jeremiah King, Jordan King, and Jakobie King;
In addition to his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Wheeler.
Richard was a dedicated member of Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton, Florida, and held the distinguished title of 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. His passions in life included his love for Corvettes, golfing, visiting casinos, playing bingo, watching scary movies, enjoying card games, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Visitation will be 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. William Catholic Church, 6 Church St., Williamstown, KY 41097. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. William Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
