Richard "Ricky" Lee Cook

Richard “Ricky” Lee Cook, 66, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Friday January 6, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born April 3, 1956 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Naaman Ray and Mary Elizabeth (Howard) Cook.

On November 27, 1976 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he was united in marriage to Theresa Jordan; she survives. He retired from Roadway Trucking as an OTR Truck Driver.  Having a love for working on old cars and restoring their beauty, he became an ardent mechanic.   He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 46 years, Theresa Jordan Cook; one son: Aaron Richard Cook (Brittany) of Middleburg, KY; one brother: Kerry (Sandy) Cook of Williamstown, KY; four sisters: Barbara (Woody) Woodward of Cold Springs, KY, Brenda (Tim) Rose of Dry Ridge, KY, Mary (Mitch) Dryer of Georgetown, KY and Donna (Kelly) Rose of Dry Ridge, KY, along with three grandchildren: Layton Cook, Londyn Cook and Samara Elmore, all of whom lovingly called him, “Papaw”.  He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Lee Cook.

Visitation will be Monday January 9, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00  p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown location.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 10, 2023 with Rev. John Sheaffer officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Vine Run Cemetery.
