Rickey Lee Stephenson

Rickey Lee Stephenson, 67, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Sunday June 13, 2021 at his residence.  He was born May 12, 1954 to the late Omer Lee and Faye Huffman Stephenson in Covington, KY.

Rickey was married to the former Sandra “Sandy” Irwin; she survives. Mr. Stephenson, a Walton Verona High School graduate, also attended Northern Kentucky Technical School.  He worked in sealing and paving and in maintenance.  He was known as a “fix it” kind of guy; he did small engine repairs and was a mechanic.  He will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help others. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force as a welder and was a member of Dry Ridge Christian Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sandy, include one son: Harvey Dingman of New York, two step-sons: Jesse Irwin of Sabina, OH, Robert Rodgers of Delhi, OH; one daughter: Yolanda (Jamie) Gould of Warsaw, KY,; two step-daughters: Rose Kays of Latonia, KY and Theresa Chestnut of Dry Ridge, KY.  Eleven grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 22, 2021 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY at 1:00 p.m.
