Ricky Joe Whaley

Ricky Joe Whaley was born April 5, 1954 in Williamstown, Kentucky and passed away March 24, 2025 at his residence in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 70.  He was the son of the late Emerson Ellis and Willena Gullick Whaley.

Ricky was a retired machinist for Aristech in Florence and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Williamstown.  Ricky loved woodworking and was known for his hand carved walking sticks.  He was always looking for his next adventure and enjoyed traveling.  He enjoyed trips with his family to places such as Land Between The Lakes, Gatlinburg, Mt. Airy, NC and Gatlinburg.  His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren.

On Aug. 10, 1974 Ricky was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carol Ann Perkins Whaley, who preceded him in death in 2022.  He is survived by his two sons: Jason (Adrean) Whaley of Union and Jeremy (Wendie) Whaley of Williamstown; two brothers: Marvin Glenn (Kay) Whaley of Williamstown and Darrell Lee (Edna) Whaley of Dry Ridge; and five grandchildren: Lauryn, Audrey, Blake, Layne and Lexie.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
