Robert Lee “Bob” Atha of Williamstown was born June 18, 1935 in Mt Zion, KY and passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at his residence at the age of 85.
He was the son of the late Elmer and Mary Inez Morris Atha. He is a veteran of the US Army, a retired truck driver for Roadway Express after working 36 years and driving 3,800,000 accident-free miles, he was a member of the Teamsters Local 100, a former member and past president of the Parkview Manor Board, and a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and many years on the bereavement committee.
On June 3, 1960 He was united in marriage to Judy Delaney Atha. In addition to Bobs parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Allen Atha and Elmer Jr. Atha, and 2 sisters Bernadean Atha Montgomery and Marcella Atha Calandar.
Surviving is his wife Judy of Williamstown, 2 sons Larry Gayle Atha and Gregory Lee (Michell) Atha of Williamstown, 1 daughter, Allyson Yvonne (Kenneth Strait) Moses of Flora, MS, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown with burial to follow in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the funeral home.
