Robert "Bob" Lee Brown

Mr. Robert "Bob" Lee Brown, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY at the age of 88. He was the husband of the late Barbara Loomis Brown.

Bob, a Williamstown resident and formerly from Covington, was a retired Captain with the  Covington Fire Department.  He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Florence, KY, Firefighters Union and Grant Co. Historical Society.  He loved golfing, hunting, boating, water skiing, travelling, his pets and all animals.  He was actively involved with restoration of the Sherman Tavern. One of his accomplishments was travelling to all 50 states with his beloved wife Barbara.  Bob loved to vacation all over the world with his family. He is described as a devoted husband, wonderful father and a true loyal family man.  Bob always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  One daughter described her and her siblings lives as "hitting the jackpot" by being born to Barbara and Bob.  Bob, aka "Captain Easy", will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all whom knew and loved him.

Bob is survived by two sons, David L. Brown, James "Jim" A. Brown, two daughters, Sally Powell, Carolyn (Jeffrey) Jump, honorary daughter, Carolyn Cassidy, one sister, Patricia Bricking, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  In addition to his loving late wife, Barbara, Bob is preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jo McDaniel, Joan S. Carpenter, two brothers, Donald E. Brown, Richard Froelicher,  one grandson, Jason Powell and daughter-in-law, Susan Brown.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5-8pm at the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church in Florence, KY.  Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 AM with a one hour visitation prior also at the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church.  Burial will take place at 12 noon at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY.  Rev. Michael Poynter will be officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church or the Friends of Sherman Tavern.  Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home of Williamstown, KY is handling arrangements.
