Robert Bernard Day, 88, of Dry Ridge, KY, died Thursday August 18, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Grant. Born Tuesday, November 21, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the beloved son of the late Marcella Mary Josephine Heidt Reeves and Thomas C. Reeves. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wayne and Patrick Hall Day and an infant granddaughter, Taylor Day.
On June 29, 1957, Bob was united in marriage to the former Nancy Marie Hall; she survives. He was an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He was also a retired caseworker with KY Cabinet for Family and Health Services. He, along with his wife, Nancy, owned and operated Day Tax Service in Dry Ridge. He served his country in the U.S. Army; much of that time was in Germany. Golfing, watching U.K. Basketball, and Cincinnati Bengals were among his favorite pastimes but he will most fondly be remembered for the many young lives he impacted as a Little League Coach. In earlier years he was a member of the Dry Ridge Masonic Lodge and Kiwanis International.
To carry on his legacy, he leaves behind two sons: Tom (Tammy) Day of Florence, Tim (Mondell) Day of Dry Ridge, along with 11 grandchildren: Risha (Kyle) Anderson, Derek (Amber) Day, Mackenzie (Erick) Willet, Jamie Acuff, Jesse (Courtney) George, Lacey (Tyler) Middlesworth, Brandon (Allison) Day, Sheena (Mike) Meiners, Caroline Day, Nicholas Day and Patrick Day and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday August 22 , 2022 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Howard Chipman and Rev. Steve Kellam officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
