Robert “Bob” Bert Kannady, 78, of Verona, KY, entered his eternal home on Tuesday March 11, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood. Born on March 30, 1946, in Kenton County, KY, he was the son of the late Bert Hume and Cecilia Lillian Colston Kannady. Upon graduating from Simon-Kenton High School in 1964, he entered the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country, which led him to serving in Vietnam. For many years, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kenton County. He worked as a self-employed trailer repairman in Walton. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, being a conscientious flower gardener; he had a special aptitude for being able to grow anything and enjoyed fishing in his leisure time. He was especially intrigued with extraterrestrial beings, such as, Aliens, Big Foot and Kelly Green Men-Hopkinsville and enjoyed studying their phenomenal. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren caused him to affectionately earn the title of “Grandpa” and “Papal”. He was of the Christian faith. He leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his loss, one son: Robert “Scott” (Tiffany) Kannady of Verona, KY; one daughter: Stacy (Freddy) Parker of Hopkinsville, KY; seven grandchildren: Cassandra (Jasper) Cox, Madelynn (Joseph) Kennedy, Kaila (fiancé B.J. Wilson) Kannady, Lillianna Kannady, Haley Kannady, Jacob Kannady, Addison Kannady and two great-grandchildren: Emilee and C. J., along with an expected arrival in April, Waylan Kennedy. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Ronnie Kannady, James Kannady and David Kannady. Visitation will be Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 with Rev. Ben Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veteran Cemetery – North with an arrival time of 2:00. Serving as Pallbearers: Freddy Parker, Jasper Cox, Charles Hearn, B. J. Wilson, Jacob Kannady and Joseph Kennedy.
