Robert "David" Flege, 86, of Florence, KY passed away Friday July 8, 2022 at his residence. Born Wednesday February 17, 1936 in Columbia, (Adair County) KY, he was the son of the late John Blain and Frances See Flege. On August 10, 1985, David was united in marriage to the former Beverly Gulick; she survives. He was a Market Conduct Examiner in the insurance industry for many years. After graduation from Williamstown High School, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Regents College of the University of New York. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He leaved to carry on his legacy, his wife, Beverly Flege; one son: Robert Blaine Flege; two daughters: Kathy Sue Flege, Missy Flege Barker, all of Williamstown, KY; one brother: Charles Fred Flege of Dry Ridge, KY; one sister: Joyce Harden of Lexington, KY, along with seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. One step-son: Steve Caldwell of Union, KY, one step-daughter: Kim Wilson of Florence, KY, four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild also survives. He was preceded in death by one son: David Wayne Flege, one brother: Dr. John B. Flege; two sisters: Helen Ruth Threlkeld, Mary Frances Selhorst, two grandchildren: Robert Dameon Flege and Christopher Orlie Flege and a great grandson, Joseph Brian Iles. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
