Robert Alan Kottmyer

Robert Alan "Bob" Kottmyer was born October 15, 1953 in Kenton Co, Kentucky and passed away February 22, 2024 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 70.  He was the son of the late Chester Lewis and Rita Philomena Foltz Kottmyer.

Bob retired as an engineer with the Kentucky Department of Transportation after 34 years of service.  He was a member of the Catholic faith and the NRA.

On Sept. 21, 1985 Bob was united in marriage to the love of his life, Maria V. Rondon Kottmyer.  In addition to his wife of almost 39 years he is survived by his sons: Jeff (Nicole) Kottmyer of Independence and Michael (Megan) Kottmyer of Dry Ridge; two brothers: John (Diana) Kottmyer of Cabot, AR and Steve (Mary Jane) Kottmyer of New Carlisle, OH; and six grandchildren: Grace Myatt, Layla Myatt, Logan Kottmyer, Parker Kottmyer, Zachary Kottmyer and Charlotte Kottmyer.

Bob's greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his family.  He was a loving husband, dedicated father and devoted grandfather.  He could often be found watching his grandkids many activities and sporting events.  One of his favorite pastimes was fishing, especially taking his grandkids along.  He also enjoyed coin collecting, gardening and spending free time outdoors.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 132 S. Main St., Crittenden, KY 41030. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 PM, Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
