Mr. Rodney L. Fisher, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the age of 78. He was the widower of the late Betty Vancleve Fisher.
Rodney was born in Covington, KY on July 2,1945 to the late Charles and Dorothy Rich Fisher. He was a retired supervisor for HK Systems in Hebron, KY and a member of the the Community Family Church in Independence, KY. He loved to hunt, fish and ride on his tractor and four wheeler. He was known as a backyard mechanic where he consistently worked on family and friends vehicles. He is described as a hard working, religious man, jack-of-all trades and a 'fix-it' kind of man. He loved vacationing at Dale Hollow Lake where he camped, fished and swam. In addition to being a true outdoorsman, his family described him as being a loving father and a strong provider for his family. His favorite pass time was making memories with his grandchildren whom always put a smile on his face and he was known to give them Hershey kisses.
Rodney is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Penny) Fisher, Timothy (Michelle) Fisher, two sisters, Polly Rogers, Tonya (Rob) Harke, six grandchildren and fourteen grandchildren. In addition to his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Fisher and two sisters, Donna Runion and Beverly Fisher.
Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10am-12noon at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will follow at 12noon. Burial will be in the Fisher Family Cemetery in Dry Ridge. Bro. Michael Baker will be officiating services.
