Roger Frank Davis , 63, a Cynthiana, KY resident, passed away Friday March 1, 2019 at Bluegrass Hospice Care. Born in Nicholasville, KY on November 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles Claude and Alberta Davis Davis.

He had the unique hobby of geode hunting and point collecting but his heart was always focused on his love for farming. He was a dedicated Christian who took his love for the Lord seriously; he loved reading and studying his Bible everyday. While he was in the hospital he proved to be a beautiful witness for his Lord to his nurses and caregivers. He held his church membership at New Friendship Baptist Church but most recently was attending Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Harrison County.

Roger leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers: Allen “Alvin” Davis of Cynthiana, KY, Mike (Janet) Davis of Sadieville, KY, Donald (Charlene) Davis of Corinth, KY; two sisters: Willetta (Bill) Bryant of Georgetown, KY, Marlene (Johnnie) Ison of Campbellsburg, KY, and a daughter-n-law: Michelle Davis of Paris, KY. Three grandsons also survive: Hunter, Jarred and Hayden Davis. He was preceded in death by a son: Roger Dewayne Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 6 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church (Harrison County) with Rev. Ronnie Angell officiating. Visitation will begin 11:00 and go until the time of the funeral at 1:00. Burial will be in the Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made in Roger’s memory toward the funeral expenses to Stanley Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 130, Williamstown, KY 41097.
