Ronald Eugene Covington

Ronnie Eugene Covington, 74, of Dry Ridge, KY passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday January 24, 2022. Born Monday September 15, 1947 in Georgetown, KY, he was the son of the late Floyd D and Edna Glass Covington.

Ronnie was retired as an Engineer from IBM in Lexington. He was an avid sports fan, particularly loving U.K. Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds as well as the Cincinnati Bengals. However, his greatest fulfillment came from farming and spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.  He was also a member of the Horse Pullers Association.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter: Jennifer Covington of Lexington, KY; one brother: Tim (Sue) Covington of Williamstown, KY; two sisters: Lula Mae (Billy) Green of Kings Mountain, NC, Virginia Lee McKinney of Georgetown, KY and a very special friend: Patricia Mann. Also surviving is a granddaughter: Kaitlyn Kinman and two great grandchildren: Jeffrey McClure and Bristol McClure, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister: Anna Faye Green and two brother-n-laws: Coy Green and John McKinney.

In fulfilling Ron’s wishes, a “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Once the date and times have been finalized this webpage will be update.
