Ronald Dale Thomas

May 22, 1934 — November 3, 2018

R. Dale Thomas, a Williamstown resident, passed away at Grant Center in Williamstown on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at the age of 84. He was the husband of Linda Work Thomas.

Dale was born on May 22, 1934 in Detroit, MI, to the late James Dudley Thomas and Mary Ann Davis Thomas. Dale joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and served almost four years with one float on the USS Columbus. Dale then transferred to reserve status and joined a police department. He served 33 years as an officer and retired from the police department in Oxford, Maine.

Dale married Linda Work on May 23, 1998. In addition to Linda, Dale is survived by one son, Mark Thomas of Oxford, ME, one daughter, Maureen Spooner (Pat) of Oxford, ME.

Memorial graveside service will be held at the KY Veteran's Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1pm. Rev. David "Milkweed" Wotier will be officiating services and Dale will be interred immediately after.
