Ronnie J. Roland

Ronnie J. Roland , age 74, of Felicity, OH, formerly of Crittenden, KY, passed away Thursday November 14, 2019 at his residence. Born Wednesday January 3, 1945 in Williamstown, KY, he was the son of the late Thurman “Tuck” Alexander and Irene C. Workman Roland.

On November 19, 1967, in Jellico, TN, he was united in marriage to the former Saundra “June” Roland (Roland married a Roland); she survives.   He retired as a Juvenile Treatment Officer in Crittenden, KY with the Department of Justice. He had served on the Crittenden Volunteer Fire Department. He also volunteered with the American Red Cross. As a hobby in his spare time, he loved rehabbing old houses. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors, in addition to “June”, his wife of almost 52 year , include two daughters: Rhonda June Fletcher of Middletown, OH, Amy Nicole Stoll of Colerain, OH; four brothers: Gayle Wayne Roland of Union, KY, Michael James Roland of Ross, OH, Ricky Dean Roland of Warsaw, KY, Nicky Dean Roland of Milford, OH and one sister: Utha Irene Grubb of Amelia, OH. Six grandchildren also survive: Matthew Carroll Fletcher, Ashley Nicole Fletcher, Pierce J. Hunter Fletcher, Jade Alexys Fletcher, Ryan William Stoll and Samantha “Sami” Marie Stoll, along with two great-grandchildren: William Preston Fletcher and Chloe Hiratsuka. He was also survived by his Pride and Joy Cockapoo dog, Sadie May. Ronnie was preceded in death by a son: William “Billy” Lewis Roland, a sister: Rose Irene Orcutt, two brothers: William Lewis Clifford and Thurman “Beb” Edward Roland.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 19, 2019 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Crittenden, KY, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and going until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Benjamin Mizukawa officiating. Burial will follow in Richwood Presbyterian Cemetery in Union, KY.
