Rose Dunn

October 16, 1951 — September 8, 2024

Attie Rose Dunn , 72, of Williamstown, KY, formerly of Berry, entered into her eternal home on Sunday September 8, 2024 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on October 16, 1951 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Buford “Boots” and Eunice Kinman Harp Wainscott.

On August 3, 1991, she was united in marriage to Rudy Dean Dunn; he preceded her in death on February 12, 2023.  She was a graduate of Owen Co. High School in Owenton, KY.   In 2013 after 26 years as a clerk at Grant County Drugs, she retired. She loved reading and crafts but nothing brought her more joy and fulfillment than spending time with her beautiful family.  At a young age she made a profession of faith at Bethany Baptist Church in Holbrook and maintained her membership there over the years.

Carrying on her legacy of commitment to family include: one daughter, Nicole (Jerry II) Miller of Williamstown; one step-son, Jimmy Dean (Lucy) Dunn of Lexington; one sister, Ella (late Donald) Crosswaite of the Holbrook Community; two brothers: William (Sharon) Wainscott of Crittenden, KY, Gene (late Judy) Wainscott of Holiday, FL and two loving grandchildren: Mariah Schae Miller, Jerry “Trae” Miller III; one step-grandson, Jamison Dunn, along with two adorable great-grandchildren: Paxton Dean Coleman and Aria Rayne O’Connor. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Wainscott.

Visitation will be Friday September 13, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown.  Funeral services will Saturday September 14th at 11:00 a.m. with Revs. Howard Chipman, Milkweed Wotier and Bruce Harrison officiating. Rose will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Rudy in Morgan Cemetery.
