Mrs. Rosemary Elizabeth Purcell of Williamstown, KY. passed away Sunday, December 2 at the Grant Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 80. Mrs. Purcell was born October 5, 1938 in Elsmere, KY. to the late Benjamin York and Mary Alice Portwood York. Mrs. Purcell worked as a secretary and was the former owner of the Boone County Day Care. She had also worked as a prep cook for Red Lobster Restaurant. Mrs. Purcell enjoyed working jig saw puzzles and shopping at Wal-Mart, Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores. She also had a love for dogs. Mrs. Purcell was a member of the Franklin Christian Church but for many years had attended the Shiloh Full Gospel Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Purcell was preceded in death by her husband, John James Purcell on April 12, 2014.
Mrs. Purcell is survived by daughters: Kimbra Willis of Naples, FL., Chacia Lynn Brandenburg of Trenton, OH., Penny Fisher of Dry Ridge, KY., a son: Thomas Benjamin Willis of Newtown, OH., a sister: Hilda Hall of Elsmere, KY., a brother: Earl York of Kentucky, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosemary Elizabeth Purcell will be conducted 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 5 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 South Main Street, Dry Ridge, KY. 41035 with Bro. Greg Cheeks officiating. Visitation will be there on Wednesday, December 5 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.
