Roy E. Miller

Mr. Roy E. Miller, an Erlanger resident and formerly of Williamstown, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the age of 68.  He was the husband of Kay Reeves-Miller.

Roy retired after 18 yrs as a tool clerk for GE Aviation in Ohio. He was a lifelong and active member of the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly of God.  He volunteered with the VBS program at the church, was an avid UK Basketball fan, loved to fish, attend drag racing events, watch his favorite character Barney Fife in the Andy Griffith show, was a member of the Mayberry Fan Club, loved to travel, was a member of the Heavy M & the Fatboys Group, and was a die hard race fan.  Most of all, Roy loved to spend quality time with his grandchildren whom called him Papaw.

In addition to his wife Kay, Roy is survived by his mother, Eunice Smallwood of Erlanger, KY, one son, Phillip R. (Deanna) Miller of Corbin, KY, daughter, Mary E.. Trammell of Cincinnati, OH, one stepson, Walter (Crystal) Preston of Crittenden, KY, two sisters, Wanda Burford of Williamstown, KY, Sheila Smallwood of Crittenden, KY, one brother, Ricky Smallwood of Williamstown, KY, six grandchildren, Ashley, Joey, Corey, Isaac, Corbin, Chloe, three step grandchildren, Melody, Tara, Amber and one great grandchild, Kai.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 10am-12 at the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly of God.  Funeral Services will be at 12 noon.  Pastor Gayliss Gaines will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.  Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home of Williamstown, KY is handling arrangements.
