Ray Joe Riggs

Ray Joe Riggs, 79, of Carrollton, KY, died Thursday November 7, 2024 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born on July 8, 1945 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Joseph Crawford and Ruth Virginia Graham Richards Riggs. He was the owner and operator of a background screening service. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, he entered the U.S. Air Force. He loved watching baseball and was a high school pitcher. He is survived by a son, Michael Riggs of Cincinnati, OH; a niece: Deborah Rae Talbert and three great-nieces: Melissa Reye (Summer) Kidwell, Angela (Robby) Partin and Rebecca (Billy) Curry. He was preceded by a sister, Betty Earlene Talbert. There will be no public visitation but graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Ben McCallister on Monday November 18, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery – North in Williamstown. A procession will beginning lining up at 11:00 a.m. at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown; they will then proceed to the cemetery with a 12:00 arrival time.
