Ruben James was born October 26, 1975 in Carrollton, Kentucky and passed away suddenly Dec. 2, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 47. He was the son of Daisy Asher James, she survives.
On April 26, 2002 Ruben was united in marriage to the love of his life, Angela Dawn Greene James. In addition to his wife of 20 years, he leaves to carry on his legacy 2 daughters: Teja James and Bella James both of Walton; a stepson: Coty Conley (Kelsey) of Paris; a stepdaughter: Haleigh Conley of Lexington, ; a grandson: Carson Conley of Paris; and 2 sisters: Luci Lane of Dry Ridge and Rebecca Arsenault of North Carolina.
Ruben was owner/operator of Lewis Trucking and was a member of Seven Hills Church in Northern Kentucky. He was always bigger than life and will be remembered as a bourbon connoisseur. He also loved fishing and hunting and was a phenomenal cook. But his greatest legacy will be as a devoted husband and father and was a friend to everyone he met.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona. The family has requested that any guests at the visitation to please wear your favorite flannel shirt in honor of Ruben.
