Russell Earl Chipman

Russell Earl Chipman of Verona, Ky was born Feb. 11, 1938 in Verona and died Wed. March 3, 2021 in Florence at the age of 83.

He was the son of the late August Edward and Helen Marie Spillman Chipman. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a retired Metal Fabrication Supervisor with Post Glover Electric Co. in Erlanger, and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. On Jan. 30, 1960 he was united in marriage to his wife Wanda Jean Mann Chipman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Charles Edward Chipman, and 2 sisters, Sarah Adeline Perry and Stella Rose Howell.

Surviving is his wife Wanda Chipman of Verona; 2 sons, John August Chipman of Elsmere and Michael Louis Chipman of Verona; 1 daughter, Laura Jean Gamble of Union; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Dennis Clark Chipman of Florence; and 2 sisters, Mary Hope Elliott of Guilford, IN and Laura Nan Hopper of Verona.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Mon. March 8, 2021 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY followed by burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will also be Mon. 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the choice of donor.
