Saundra Mclafferty Link

Saundra Lee Whaley McLafferty Link of Williamstown, was born to Emery and Gladys Kinman Whaley on May 11, 1940 and passed away on January 11, 2024 at the home of her daughter at the age of 83.  She was the widow of Charles Edward ”Eddie” McLafferty.

A graduate of Grant County High School, Saundra was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and attended the Wayside Baptist Church in Lake Wales, Florida.   She enjoyed life and especially going to yard sales with her “sister friend” Phyllis Moore in and around Lake Wales.  Of course, nothing mattered more than attending her grandchildren’s ball games when home.

She leaves her children: Pat McLafferty and his wife, Angie, of Dry Ridge, and Jenny Eising and her husband Dave, of Independence; her brother: Emery “E.P.” Whaley and his wife Sue of Florence, her sisters: Janet Zumwalt and her husband, Charlie, of Blue Ash, OH and Margaret Ann McKinsey of Dry Ridge; her grandchildren: Ashley Cochran, Cody McLafferty, Lyndsey Owings and Kyle Eising; her great grandchildren: Paizley Cochran, Bristol Cochran, Lochlan Cochran, Kale McLafferty, Colson McLafferty, Ruthie McLafferty, Boone Eising, Ellie Eising and Myla Eising.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Jan 16, 2024 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.  Visitation is also on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice 483 S .Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017.
