Sharon Zeiser Baker

Sharon Zeiser Baker, peacefully passed away while surrounded by family and friends at her residence in Verona, KY on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 70.  She was the wife of Speed Baker.

On November 16, 1953, Sharon was born to the late Norbert  Zeiser and Alberta Sacca Zeiser in Covington, KY.  She graduated Seton Hall School in Cincinnati, OH and finished her education with a degree from Kings Community College in Ashland, KY.  On May 11, 1990 she married Arnold W. "Speed" Baker, whom survives.  Sharon attended the South Fork Christian Church and was a retired lunch server for Walton Verona High School where students loved her dearly.  In her pass time, she loved to work in her flower garden and was an excellent cook, known for her fried pork chops, homemade chicken noodle soup and lasagna.  Sharon's love language was gift giving.  She took great pride utilizing her sewing and crafting skills and loved to buy or make the perfect gift for each of her family members.  Christmas was her favorite holiday, where she was able to cook the family their favorite meals as well as play games and give gifts to her family. She cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon leaves behind her husband 'Speed' of 34 years, three sons, Richard E. (Charlyse) Scherch, Brandon B. Wurts, Andrew W. (Jeremy) Baker, four daughters, Alicia L. (Robert) Sewell, Renee L. Baker, Sandra L. Baker, Jessica P. (Greg) Wimsatt, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her favorite cat Lilah.  Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Potts and sister, Dolly Lawrence.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-8pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.  Funeral services will be Friday at 11am. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery,  Verona, KY.  Rev. Darrell Maines will be officiating.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research.
