Sharon Gabbert

Sharon Ann Childers Gabbert passed away at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the age of 73.  She was born October 17, 1948 to Kenneth Atwood and Lema Elizabeth Hightower Childers.

A retired employee for Walmart in Grant County for over 30 years as an Invoice Clerk, she was an active member at the Sherman Church of Christ.  Sharon loved to go camping with her husband in their Recreation Vehicle and really loved attending auctions.  She graduated from Grant County High School in 1966 and attended Eastern Kentucky University for one year.  She was a longtime member of the Grant County Extension Council and the Grant County Homemakers.

On June 9, 1967, Sharon became Mrs. Ronald Gabbert.  From this union two sons were born: Matthew Dean Gabbert (Deanna) and Jason Dean Gabbert (Tiffany), both of Williamstown.  She is also survived by six grandchildren: Seth (Kalli) Gabbert, Gage Gabbert, Cody Gabbert, Reagan Gabbert, Carter Gabbert and Levi Gabbert.  A great granddaughter also survives: Elly Gabbert.  Two brothers preceded her in death: Jack Childers and Kenneth D. Childers.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St. Williamstown, KY.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.   Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North, Williamstown.  Memorials are suggested to Camp Northward, P.O. Box 128. Falmouth, KY 41040, in Pendleton County.
