Shiva Ramkeesoon

Shiva was a trained accountant; he took up auto mechanic and car racing with his specialty in drag and circuit racing. He completed his studies at St. Mary’s College, and at a private college in Trinidad. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, as well as the Cincinnati Reds.  His genuine love for all animals, especially, dogs, led him to devote much of his time and energy to raising, breeding, and training dogs. He had a green thumb when it came to gardening but his greatest fulfillment came from hanging out with his closest and dearest friends at Trini River and Beach “Limes.” Shiva loved cooking, especially curry and doubles, for his loved ones, while listening to good Caribbean music, especially at local “fetes.” Shiva had a big heart and kind soul, and often put the needs of others ahead of himself.

Shiva leaves to carry on his legacy, two sisters: Liselle Sarita (Chuck) Newberry of Verona, KY, Nerissa of Ontario, Canada; one brother: Rajendra “Brody” (Vidya) Ramkeesoon of Trinidad, along with two nieces: Sarita and Vanaiya, and a multitude of close friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 28, 2021 @ 3:00 p.m. The service will be live streamed via Facebook. The Facebook link will be updated and posted.
