Sonja Sue Curry of Crittenden, Kentucky

August 27, 1943 - January 24, 2025

Sonja Sue Curry , 81, of Crittenden, KY, entered into her eternal home on Friday January 24, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born on August 27, 1943 in Frankfort, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward and Frances Hall Curry.

Sue was a graduate of Walton-Verona High School and was a Home Healthcare Nurse for many years. She never married but dedicated her life to being a faithful servant for the Lord.  Taking on the “card ministry” through Crittenden Baptist Church, sending out cards of comfort, encouragement and consolation brought her much joy and fulfillment.  Her life was lived for the purpose of serving and ministering to the needs of others. In a variety of ways she faithfully served the Lord through the ministries of Crittenden Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters: Patricia Essex of Kingsland, GA, Linda Carol  Crupper of Union, KY; nephews: Mark Crupper of Crittenden, KY, Larry (Yvonne) Karsner of Owenton, KY and Cindy (John) Herring of Kingsland, GA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Edward Curry.

Visitation will be Monday February 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Crittenden Baptist Church.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Matt Holleran officiating.  Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Crittenden Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choice.
