Sylvia Lee Craft, 81, of Lexington, KY, passed away Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington. Born July 25, 1940 in London, KY, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Collier and Dessie Wells.
On March 29, 1958 Sylvia was united in marriage to James A. Craft, he survives. She was an accountant with Winterwood Properties in Lexington; she was a graduate of Taft High School and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading books, computers and caffeine free Pepsi; she was an avid gardener but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: James; two sons: Edward L. (Debbie) Craft of Maineville, OH, David A. (Sandra) Craft of Corinth, KY; one sister: Mary (Virgil) Barrett of Blue Ash, OH. Six grandchildren also survive: James Allen Craft, Heather Dorman (Carey), Nicole Craft, Gracie, Sophie, Ruthie, two great-grandchildren: Breanna and Kara, and Nine Grandpups: Bella, Benji, Bosco, Chloe, Cora, Kane, Stoney, Tana, and Zane. She was preceded in death by a brother: Lenny Collier.
Visitation will be held Monday November 8, 2021 at McDaniel Funeral Home – Corinth from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia’s memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
