Tamara Jean Polly

Tamara Jean Tomes Polly, a Williamstown resident, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Grant County, at the age of 66.  She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Dec. 8, l957, the firstborn child of the late Donald Ray and Beverly Ann Meiers Tomes. In addition to her parents, Tamara was preceded in death by a son, David Iles, Jr.

Tamara was a former assistant manager of Wendy’s Restaurant, Crittenden, KY., a former Grant Co. Schools’ bus driver and former clerk at the Citgo Station in Walton, KY.  Tamara enjoyed sewing, playing Bingo and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, John Polly, one son, Jason (Amy) Thacker of Morning View, KY., one daughter, Christina (Philip) Cobb of Williamstown, three brothers, Terry (Lisa) Tomes, Cincinnati, OH., Tally (Denise) Tomes, Taylorsville, KY. and Timmy Tomes, Crittenden, KY., four sisters, Tana Tomes and Tiffany (Darryll) Davis, both of Louisville, KY. and Tina Crotty, Dry Ridge, KY and Sonia Allen of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in the Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Falmouth, KY.  Memorials are suggested to Gideons International, P.
