Terri Simpson Dezarn

Terri Rae Simpson Dezarn fought cancer for eight years with a savage ferocity that ended only when her body failed to follow her directions and she slipped away on December 17, 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospice Care Center in Edgewood Kentucky. She was 60 years old.

Her determination and bravery, united with a biting wit and unfailing humor will help her loved ones find the courage to live without her. She was a lady to the end in the sense that she was always impeccably dressed and was never unintentionally rude.

She was welcomed home by her dad, Richard Dean Simpson and her brother, Rickey Layne Simpson.

She was very much loved and will be equally missed by her mother, Utha Tebelman Simpson, her companion Rick Rose, her children Lyndsie (John) McCowan, Jordan Dezarn, Abigail Dezarn, and Olivia (Dylan) Gray, her grandchildren Eli, Logan and Holden McCowan, Gabe Bailey, Kash Dezarn and Harper Gray, her sisters Sheila Scott, Carol (Hal) Spaw, Tina (Mike) Poole, Sonya Snow, a bevy of nieces, nephews and friends who have become family.

Terri Rae, the self proclaimed vainest woman alive, opted for cremation rather than allow a public viewing where she looked anything less than her best. A memorial service will be held at Stanley Funeral Homes in Williamstown, Kentucky on December 28, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11am, ending at 1pm with a brief service to follow.
