Thomas Edward Brooks

Thomas E. Brooks, a Crittenden, KY resident, was born in Boone County, KY on April 27, 1925 and passed away on March 4, 2022 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 96. He was the son of the late Sylis Swango and Edna Mae Portwood Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a proud Army, World War II Veteran and a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with the State of Kentucky. On February 15, 1947 he was united in marriage to Belle Marie Young who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Bryant, Helen Perry, two brothers, Robert Brooks, John Brooks, and a sister, Lucille Isaac. Thomas is survived by his son, Edward (Nettie) Brooks of Crittenden, two daughters, Virginia (Randy) Beard of Des Moines, IA, Dermia (Steve) Hyden of Crittenden, a sister, Mary Conelly of Dry Ridge, KY, a sister-in-law, Mossy Brooks of Erlanger, KY and numerous Grand Children, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery, in Williamstown.
