Tristin Zaine Lawhun , 18, of Dry Ridge, KY passed away Wednesday May 13, 2020 at University of Kentucky Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born June 10, 2001, he was the son of Timothy Shane and Erin Nicole Combs Lawhun of Dry Ridge.
Tristin was a 2019 graduate of Grant County High School where he played cornerback on the football team from his Sophomore through Senior years. During his freshman year he played baseball and basketball for Thomas Nelson High School in Bardstown, KY. He was an Assembly Tech at Dana Corporation.
In addition to his parents, Shane and Erin, Tristin is survived by three brothers: Joseph Lawhun of Independence, KY, Brody Lawhun, Shawn Luke Lawhun; one sister: Kyleigh Lawhun, all of Dry Ridge, KY. Additional survivors include his paternal grandparents: Brenda (Samuel) Lawhun of Bardstown, KY; his maternal grandparents: Teresa (Wilburn) Burden of Dry Ridge, KY and his paternal great-grandmother: Rose Hamm of Marion, OH, along with four uncles and four aunts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Thomas Combs; his paternal great-grandfathers: Nelson James Lawhun and Ernest Hamm.
Visitation will be Thursday May 21, 2020 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Lynn White officiating. Burial will follow in Broadridge Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting our building occupancy to 33% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy. We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements. We also request that attendees please wear a face covering, if possible.
