Vada Johnson Varney

Vada Johnson Varney of Williamstown, KY was born May 7, 1932 in Vuskirk, KY and died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Grant Center, Williamstown at the age of 91 years.

She was the daughter of the late Doc Stallard Johnson and Letha Francis Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gardnerville Baptist Church. On July 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to her husband Keen Varney, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2003. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by his daughter Janet Bowling, a brother, Larry Johnson, and sister, Debbie Johnson.

Surviving are two grandsons, James Bowling and Brian Bowling both of Dry Ridge; two granddaughters, Jennifer Bowling of Dry Ridge and Brandie Bowling of Florence; five great grandchildren, Seth Bowling, Jacob Bowling, Carter Bowling, Lily Bowling, and Carly Bowling; two sisters, Nora Johnson of Troy, OH and Ernistene “Tina” Boyd of Severn, NC; and two brothers, Danny Johnson of Matawan, WV and Lloyd Johnson of Beach Creek, WV.

A Celebration of life will be private at the convenience of the family.
