Virginia Lou Barlow

Mrs. Virginia Lou "Ginny" Barlow of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Sunday, March 15 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 85.  Ginny was born May 19, 1934 in Dry Ridge, KY. to the late Eddie Cummins and Virgie Mae Bosse Cummins.  Ginny was a retired cafeteria employee for the Grant County School System and worked many years at the Grant County High School.  She was a long time member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church.  Ginny enjoyed visiting with friends and family by way of phone conversations and she enjoyed going to yard sales, flea markets, and antiques.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Barlow was preceded in death by a sister: Leona "Baby Sis" Webster on Apr. 27, 2013 and she was preceded in death by her brother: Nelson E. Cummins on Jan. 28, 2020.

Mrs. Barlow is survived by her husband: James G. "Butch" Barlow, a daughter: Buffy Barlow Houchens and her husband Craig of Dry Ridge, KY., a son: Malcolm Douglas Marshall of Corinth, KY.  3 grandchildren: Kit Marshall, Grant Houchens and Brock Houchens.  She has a great grandchild: Trinity Marshall and she has several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind friends: Kathy Flege and Judy Kells.

Funeral services for Mrs. Barlow will be conducted 12:30 pm Wednesday, March 18 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 South Main Street, Dry Ridge, KY. 41035 with Rev. Josh Cummins and Rev. Brandon Burks officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 17 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.  Those serving as pallbearers are Grant Houchens, Brock Houchens, Kit Marshall, Terry Barlow, Ricky Kells.  Memorial contributions  if desired may be directed to the Dry Ridge Baptist Church.
