Virginia "Ginny" Mckeehan Gillispie

Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" McKeehan Gillispie, a Corinth resident, passed away at her residence in Corinth, KY on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the age of 77.  She was the wife of Gayle Gillispie.

Ginny was born in Cincinnati, OH  on July 10, 1946 to Velma Wilder McKeehan and the late Orville Eugene McKeehan. She graduated from Colerain High School in Cincinnati and married E. Gayle Gillispie on January 18, 1969.  She was a member of the Mason Baptist Church. Although Ginny was a homemaker most of her life, she had a passion for raising miniature dogs.  Of the wide variety of breeds, some were poodles, maltese, yorkies, pomeranians, etc.  Ginny was very artistic and loved to paint and draw eagles, make crafts, collect lamps and Ginny dolls.  In her former years, she loved to work in her flower gardens and was known for her baking skills.  She made many wedding and birthday cakes for friends and family.  Her family loved her banana pudding and chocolate pies.  Her children described her as a wonderful mom whom loved to spend her free time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom always made her smile.

In addition to her loving husband Gayle, Ginny is survived by her mother Velma Wilder Lipps, two sons, Shane R. (Jessica Griffin) Gillispie, Jeff (Lukas) Gillispie, one daughter Shannon L. (Kenny) Burk, two sisters, Penny Smiley, Christy (Gary) Williams, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her fathers, O. Eugene McKeehan, Milton Roman Lipps, one son, Dwayne Gillispie, two brothers, Brian and Mark McKeehan and her favorite dog Tinkerbell.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral services will be at 1pm.  Bro. Sammy Harris will be officiating services.  Burial will follow in the Sadieville Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Sadieville Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
