Virginia Mae Mulligan

Virginia Mae Mulligan , 83, of Crittenden, KY, died Tuesday January 9, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born on February 2, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late John and Nettie Clark.

She was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Mulligan; he preceded her in death on March 22, 2009.  She graduated from Central Florida Community College in Ocala, FL; she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Kentucky. She spent the rest of her career in the nursing field in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area.  She loved painting and all kinds of artwork and playing cards; she also had a love for dogs.  Her current church membership was with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Walton.

She leaves to carry on her legacy one son: Carlos Marte of Alexander, VA; one daughter: Debora Holland of Ocala, Fl; along with two grandchildren: Eric Holland, Sarah Holland and a great-grandson:  Makalob Andrews.  She was preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Clark.

Visitation will be Monday January 15, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown.  A brief funeral service will begin at 12:30; Doug Perry will be the speaker.  Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Bobby Gene.
