Wanda Louise Colwell of Dry Ridge, Kentucky

November 13, 1938 - January 30, 2019

Wanda Louise Lightfritz Colwell , 80, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday January 30. 2019 at her residence in Dry Ridge, KY. Born November 13, 1938 in Carthage, OH, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Ethel Brown Lightfritz.

Retired from healthcare as a caregiver (CNA), her life was centered around family. She loved family dinners and shopping sprees; she had a special love for her Lord, whom she loved and served all her life. Church was always important to her. She took a special interest in all her children and grandchildren.

At an early age, Wanda was raised by her grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth Brown, in Wyoming, OH, whom she affectionately came to know and love as “Grandma Brown”.

Survivors include one daughter: Debra Warren of Williamstown, KY; three sons: James (Shirley) Abe l of Dry Ridge, Mark (Kathy) Abe ll of Ellettsville, IN, Timothy (Janna) Abe ll of Springville , IN; one sister: Linda Harris and one brother: John Harris, both of Mason, OH. Ten grandchildren also survive: Alex Freed, Andrew Freed, Amanda Warren, Ashley Warren, Brianna Abe ll , Tanner Abe ll , Lisa Linneman, Luke Abe ll and Leslie Abe ll , along with two great-grandchildren: Addisyn Freed and Aalayah Freed and several great-great grandchildren. One grandson preceded her in death, James Abe l .

Services will be 12:30 PM, Monday, February 4, 2019 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown location.  Visitation will be 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Mother of God Cemetery.
