Wanda Elaine Westrick Sherman, 81, of Crittenden, KY, entered her eternal home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Boonespring Nursing and Rehab in Union, KY, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on May 29, 1942 in Carroll County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Beulah Tilley Westrick.

On June 24, 1961, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald Earl Sherman; he preceded her in death on May 9, 1996. In earlier years, she worked as a loan officer for Citizen’s Bank in Dry Ridge and in Madison, IN, afterwards, she served as an Administrative Assistant for Grant Co. Wanda was a beautiful example of living out the Christian faith.  She will lovingly be remembered for her commitment to the church.  It was often stated that “Church was her life!!”.  She carried out her love for serving the Lord in many ways, namely, playing the piano and the organ at Sherman Baptist Church; serving as Sunday School Director, Bible Drill Instruction and Vacation Bible School Director. Traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains and to the Gulf at Panama City were two of the greatest adventures that Wanda shared with her husband, Ronnie, and family.

Carrying on her legacy of love and commitment to the advancement of the Kingdom are her two sons: Steven Dale (Meleasa) Sherman of Williamstown, KY, Troy Allen (Karen) Sherman of Crittenden, KY; four beautiful grandchildren: Timothy (Shane) Sherman, Mikayla (Hunter) Carmon, Karissa (Gary) Pence and Travis Sherman, all of whom lovingly called her “Mamaw” and a great-granddaughter, Kinsley, whom lovingly knew her as “GG-maw”.  Also surviving is a brother: Michael (Dawnice) Westrick of Bedford, KY and a sister-n-law: Nancy Westrick of Tipton, IN.  She was preceded in death by four brothers: Logan Westrick, Jr., Freddie (late Betty) Westrick, Ronald (late Byrl) Westrick and Rutherford Westrick.
