Warren Robert Stirle

Mr. Warren Robert Stirle of Florence, KY. and formerly of Grant County passed away Sunday, May 17 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 84 from complications from COVID-19.  Mr. Stirle was born April 26, 1936 in Racine, WI. to the late Rudolph and Dorothy Colla Stirle.  Mr. Stirle proudly served his country as a career United States Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  Mr. Stirle was a member of First Love Church.  He enjoyed his church, baking, fishing, bird watching and coin collecting.

In addition to his parents Mr. Stirle was preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Joyce Roberts Stirle on April 15, 2009.  He was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Robert Michael Stirle in 1958 and by Terry Steven Stirle in 2015.

Mr. Stirle is survived by 2 daughters: Cynthia Thorman and her husband James of Newport, KY., Lisa Fischer and her husband Bill of Burlington, KY., 1 son: Timothy Wayne Stirle of Midland, TX., a sister: Barbara (the late William) Morgan of Mauston, WI.  He has 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Warren Robert Stirle will be conducted 12:30 pm Thursday, May 21 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 South Main Street, Dry Ridge, KY. 41035 with Rev. David Hammond officiating.  Visitation will also be Thursday, May 21 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.  Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to St. Elizabeth Hospice.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting our building occupancy to 33% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy. We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements.  We also wish to inform you that face coverings will be mandatory.
