Wayne Wainscott

Wayne Wainscott , 67, of Williamstown, KY, died Tuesday August 4, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Hospice Care Unit in Edgewood, KY. Born December 3, 1952 in the Needmore Community of Owen County, he was the son of the late Buford “Boots” F. and Eunice K. Harp Wainscott.

On December 31, 1980, Wayne was united in marriage in the Sweet Owen Community of Owen County to the former Kathy Marie Hudnall; she survives. He was a self-employed truck driver; he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He will long be remembered for his love for life, his contagious laugh and the special love he had for his family. He loved a good Hillbilly Hoedown when the family got together. He was referred to by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Pa Paw”, whom each of them saw as their personal “Superman”. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Owenton VFW and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of almost 40 years, Kathy; include two sons: Michael Wayne (Janie) Wainscott of Sadieville, Ricky (Carrie) Lindsey, Jr. of Owenton; one daughter: Bobbie Jean (Steve) Brown of Corinth; two brothers: Bill (Sharon) Wainscott of Dry Ridge, Gene (late Judy) Wainscott of Holiday, FL and two sisters: Ella Crosswaite (late Don) of the Holbrook Community and Rose (Rudy) Dunn of Falmouth. Sixteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be Friday August 7, 2020 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday August 8 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes with Revs. Howard Chipman and D. Milkweed Wotier officiating.   Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in the Holbrook Community.
