Mrs. Willena Scroggins Kenner, a Williamstown resident, passed away at the Knight's Personal Care Home in Williamstown on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the age of 90. She was the widow of Charles Kenneth Kenner.
Willena was born on August 30, 1931 to the late Luther Scroggins and Lorena Barker Mardis Scroggins. She was later raised by her mother Lorena and Adam Steffen. She was a graduate of Williamstown High School and was a homemaker most of her life. On December 28, 1947 she married the love of her life, Charles Kenneth Kenner. Kenny passed away on August 1, 2004. Since 1955, Willena has been a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where she formerly served as a Sunday School Teacher, was a choir member, actively involved in the Young At Heart Sunday School Class and Super Seniors. She was also a former member of the Grant County Woman's Club.
Willena is survived by two daughters, Patsy Kenner and Carol (Larry) Souder, two sons, Dennis (Leslie) and Douglas (Tammy) Kenner, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Kenner, two sisters, Betty Points and Anna Kathryn Wallace and one brother Eddie Scroggins.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10am-12 noon at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will be at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery. Bro. Steve Kinman will be officiating the services. Memorials are suggested to the Williamstown Baptist Church or the St. Elizabeth Home Health Hospice.
