William "Bill" Comley, Sr.

William “Bill” Comley, Sr., 90, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away peacefully Thursday June 30, 2022 at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills.  He was born Monday August 10, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH.

On June 14, 1951, Bill was united in marriage to Owenita "Nita" Katherine (Hudson) Comley; she survives, having recently celebrated their 71 ^st wedding anniversary. He taught school for 30 years in the Cincinnati Public School System. In an entrepreneurial role for 44 years as the CEO of WECCO Inc., Bill and Nita's company manufactured and distributed swimming pool chemicals and supplies. In earlier years he was a trained and skilled gymnast and diver.  He was a member of Erlanger Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Nita, he is survived by two sons: Bill (Patricia) Comley, Jr. of Fort Mitchell, KY, Brian  (Margie) Comley of Bright, IN; one daughter: Linette (Mike) Thornbury of Green Township, OH, along with five grandchildren: Drew (Amy) Comley, Brianne (David) Creamer, Logan Comley, Chance (Courtney) Comley, Jailyn Thornbury and three great-grandchildren: Elias, Madison, and Emmaline Comley.

A private family Graveside services  on July 8, 2022, will be conducted at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY, with Rev. B.J. Donahue officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Erlanger Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.
