William "Bill" R. Gazaw of Dry Ridge, Kentucky

September 27, 1942 - January 4, 2019

William “Bill” Richard Gazaw , 76, a Dry Ridge resident, died Friday January 4, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Grant. Born Sunday September 27, 1942, in Pittsfield, MA, he was the son of the late William Lawrence and Mary Jones Gazaw.

On September 10, 1977 he was united in marriage to the former Rosemary D. Bean; she survives. He retired 14 years ago, after 25 years of service as a Machinist Engineer with Desma Sales and Service in Hebron, KY. He was an avid photographer; he was known as “Mr. Fix-It” and enjoyed traveling the country with his beloved wife, whom he affectionately called his “Rose Marie”.

Bill will long be remembered as a faithful husband, wonderful and caring father and grandfather, who was always giving of himself and reaching out and helping anyone in need.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one son: William R. Gazaw, Jr. of Pittsfield, MA; three daughters: Michelle St. Marie of Pittsfield, MA, Justice Christine, Nicole (Brennen) Lainhart of Walton, KY; one brother: Edward (Pat) Gazaw of Mt. Jackson, VA , one sister: Mary Bennett of O’Fallon, IL; two stepsons: James Roraback and Robert Roraback, both of Pittsfield, MA and two step-daughters: Wendy Adams of Bristol, CT and Robin (Jim) Khoury of Brownstown, MI. Fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, along with two nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 10, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY at 7:00 p.m. with Father Matt Cushing officiating.
