William “Bill” Joseph Mann , 73, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered his eternal home on Sunday July 14, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Edgewood. Born on April 21, 1951 in Dry Ridge, he was the son of the late Robert and Hazel Collins Mann.
On August 4, 1972, Bill was united to the love of his life, the former Patricia Ann Covey; this proved to be a constant and loyal union for almost 52 years. For many years, he worked as a Machinist at Meyer Tool Inc. in Erlanger; he engineered aerospace technology for jet engines. Bill’s life was characterized by his prudence and wisdom; he lived a selfless life – always sacrificing for his family and friends. He took a personal interest in hunting, fishing, gardening, driving his tractor and bush hogging, but going to Destin, Florida and frying up a mess of freshly caught Red Snapper was a special delight, along with eating at Red Lobster when he could not go fishing. He also loved a good country meal which included fried chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes and biscuits, but absolutely nothing brought him more satisfaction and fulfillment in life than his loving and caring family. Being a part of a dying breed of people, the greatest legacy of which he will be remembered most is…his commitment to keeping his word…if he gave you his word, you could always count on him backing it up, regardless of the cost or sacrifices.
He leaves to preserve his legacy, his loving and faithful wife: Patricia Ann Mann; his son: Joseph Allen (Felicia) Mann of North Richland Hills, TX; his daughter: Angela Denise LeMay of Independence, KY; one brother: Robert Mann of Covington, KY; one sister: Susan (Tom) Pollard of Independence, KY, a niece: Sheree Pollard, along with his beautiful grandchildren: Dylan Joseph Mann, Jordan Tyler Mann, Aubrey Lynn Mann, Makaylah Ann Mann and Kyle Hunter Mann, all of whom lovingly called him, “Paw Paw”, as well as many other family and friends that will cherish their memory of him.
To honor Bill’s wishes, a private visitation with family will be held on Saturday July 20, 2024 from 12:00 noon till 2:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 with Rev. Harold Gambrell officiating.
