William "Billy" Covey

William “Billy” Covey of Sparta, KY was born April 29, 1965 in Owen County, KY and died Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in Louisville, KY at the age of 59 years.

He was the son of the late Merle Edward and Lucille Gordy Covey. He was a former HVAC employee and farmer and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Surviving is his brother, Butch Covey of Sparta; sisters, Debbie Addington of Sparta and Angie Hager of Colorado; Nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Amy, Tracey, Dale, Ashley, Darren, Connor, and Hayley; and great-nieces and nephews, Lauren, Kaytlynn, Codey, Riley, Jacob, Caleb, Jaylin, McKayla, Emma, Corey, Brooklynn, Brayden, Luke, Aubrey, and his little man Colton.

A “Celebration of Life” will be private at the convenience of the family.
