William Ray Breeden was born February 24, 1948 in Morning View, Kentucky and passed away peacefully August 29, 2024 at his residence in Glencoe, Kentucky at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Earl Bartley and Clara Belle Smith Breeden.
Bill, as he was better known, was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from TANK as a bus driver after 30 years of service to his community. He was a member of the Paint Lick Baptist Church in Gallatin Co. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching Westerns and listening to country music, especially bluegrass. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loving on his grandkids. Bill was also a die hard and passionate Kentucky Basketball fan.
On July 27, 1996 Bill was united in marriage to Jenola Frances McEntire Breeden. In addition to his wife of 28 years, he is survived by two sons: Teddy (Maxine) Jump of Madison, IN and Kenneth (Amanda) Towles of Warsaw; a daughter: Michelle (Kevin) Madsen of Indianapolis, IN; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Breeden, two brother, Earl Joseph Breeden and Larry Breeden, and three sisters, Brenda Sue Terry, Judy Cannon and Joyce Bowman.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Burial will follow in the Glencoe Cemetery.
